Straun is the Gaelic for stream.

Straun Group was founded on the belief that the modern enterprise no longer lives in a single industry. The companies that thrive in the next decade will be those that hold infrastructure, intelligence, and interface in the same hand, not stitched together through procurement, but engineered to reinforce one another from the start.

Our six operating businesses span renewables, AI automation, managed IT, cloud and web, prompt tooling, and digital creative. Each is profitable in its own right; each is materially better for being part of the group.

We are owner-operators. We do not consult, advise, or sit on panels. We deploy, operate, and improve. The work is the work, and the work is the proof.

Headquartered in Glasgow, with operations across the United Kingdom and selective engagement in Northern Europe.

Operating principles.

01 / OWNERSHIP

We own the work, end to end.

Straun is not a consultancy. We deploy, operate, and maintain the infrastructure we build. Our companies make money by running things, not by writing reports about running things.

02 / SYMBIOSIS

Six businesses, one direction.

Each operating company is profitable on its own. Each is materially stronger for being part of the group. Forest Grove powers the infrastructure Ever Ops protects; Atomic Engine builds on the platforms Ranger One hosts.

03 / RESTRAINT

Slowly, then all at once.

We grow when growth is sound and pause when it is not. Acquisitions are rare and considered. Hiring is permanent rather than seasonal. We would rather move late than move loudly.

04 / TRANSPARENCY

Said in public.

Annual reporting on emissions, governance, supply chain, and pay. Our Headwaters statement is not aspirational. It is what we have done, measured against what we said we would do.

05 / SCOTTISH

Rooted in Glasgow.

This is not affectation. Operations, hiring, and headquarters are Scottish. Living wage as floor, not ceiling. Apprenticeships across the portfolio. The Gaelic name is not branding; it is geography.

06 / LONG VIEW

Decades, not quarters.

Straun is not built for an exit. Our operating timeline is generational. Capital structure, board composition, and incentive design all reflect that. We are here for the duration.

Why a holding company.

The dominant business advice of the last twenty years has been "focus." Pick a vertical, dominate it, exit. The advice was correct for its time, when each industry had its own infrastructure, its own talent pool, and its own customer logic.

That world is changing. Renewables operations now depend on AI-driven monitoring. Managed IT cannot be separated from cloud strategy. Creative work is shaped by the tooling that produces it. The seams between sectors are dissolving, and the firms that hold their work in one hand have an advantage that compounds rather than diminishes.

Straun is not six companies pretending to be one. It is one company that has chosen to express itself as six.

Each subsidiary serves clients in its own right. Each is led by people accountable for that subsidiary's outcomes. But the operating philosophy is shared, the infrastructure is shared where it makes sense, and the long view is the same long view.

We believe this is the durable form for the next several decades. We expect to be proven right slowly, then quickly.

The people.

Straun is led by operators, not financiers. Each subsidiary head has run the kind of work they now lead, and most have done so for longer than the company has existed.
